Genetics and Genomics

Coming soon

My friend and colleague Susan Hogben

I met Susan when I went to work at the Centre for Economic and Social Aspects of Genomics (CESAGen) at Cardiff University in 2003. She was a discourse analyst, and we worked together on a project examining childhood genetic testing. She worked to the most exacting standards, and I learned so much from her about how to look at language, about communication, and more besides, for example, the joys of marmite and banana on crumpet. We published three papers together before she left CESAGen. In her early death, the world has lost a great scholar, and I lost an irreplaceable friend.
